If you’re just starting out in the beauty industry, you’ll get a basic grounding and relevant training to prepare you for working in a salon. Conversely, if you’re a more experienced practioner, you can choose to target the skills areas that most suit you in the areas of beauty therapy, nail services, make-up, spa therapy and massage.
Beauty Therapy Training Audience
At the most basic level, the initial Level 1 qualification in Beauty Therapy is aimed at anyone who is interested in a beauty therapy career – you could be a young learner (under 16) or an adult.
Moving up the levels, the NVQ Diplomas are aimed at people who are currently working in beauty therapy positions. As mentioned earlier, there are broader, more general, NVQs available aimed at those with some experience, or you can choose to specify which area to concentrate on if you are more experienced and hold a more senior position within the industry.
